The legends of Wine

The legend has it The Emperor Charlemagne was a red wine lover from the land of Corton. But as years passed by, his beard became silver and the wine of Burgundy he was loving so much, became much of a problem for the Empress whom insisted on her husband to switching to white wine as the stain became more and more apparent.

The Emperor sent the order to replant the land of Corton with white grape (chardonnay) to produce a wine of equal excellence.

Was born the white Grand Cru Chardonnay of Corton-Charlemagne.
